All children and families should have the opportunity to learn to be healthy, confident and resilient. This belief is at the heart of what Wheely Tots do. The registered charity believes that inclusive cycling can enable that. Through fun and friendly cycling sessions, Wheely Tots aim to encourage families to cycle more regularly. In the process, they are also contributing to community development and family bonding.
Wheely Tots run two toddler balance bike sessions (2-4 years old). On Wednesday afternoon, you’ll find them outside Redmond Community Centre, and on Thursday morning, at The McKenzie Pavilion in Finsbury Park. These sessions have been designed by cycling instructors, combining stay & play with more structured activities. Although these are free sessions, donations are welcome. The result is a fun and interactive time for little ones and parents who will learn or build on key skills enabling them to cycle more.
For older children & parents, learning to cycle with Wheely Tots will take you to good locations on the lovely wide paths available in the local area where you can develop cycling skills and build up your confidence on the road. Family sessions are also available and so are cargo bike hire and family bike maintenance workshops. Visit their website for more information.
What better way to put your new skills into practice than to join Wheely Tots monthly ride events? The next one is planned on Saturday 29th April. More information available on their website and Facebook page.
