on Saddle Rolls at RW Works with a Cyclefox Membership.
Founder and leathersmith Richard Williamson believes in quality over quantity. Designing and hand making limited specialist run pieces of the highest quality is what the RW Works label is all about. The aim is to create unique items that will last a long time and be used a lot.
All the products produced by RW Works are handmade and designed in West London. The leather pieces are hand stitched using the traditional Saddle Stitch method. Richard personally sources and selects all the leather he uses from quality UK tanners and suppliers. His material of choice is the Horween – a full & top grain vegetable tanned leather. RW Works leathersmith Richard explains why he likes working with this particular leather: “the Vegetable tannage method has been around for thousands of years and uses combinations of natural plant and tree extracts to produce a very natural hide that will develop a beautiful patina over time the more it’s used.”
Alongside his other designs, Richard has created two particular items aimed at people riding bicycles. His tool saddle roll combines form and function with ease. It will fit any bike with exposed seat rails. All you need to do is feed the leather strap through the rails and tighten up the buckle. The saddle bag roll is hand stitched to order allowing you a choice of leather and size.
